UAE property 'has very good prospects'

Expats considering buying a home abroad may be tempted to consider properties in the UAE after the area was described as having very good prospects in the long-term.
According to Paul Collins, editor at BuyAssociation, although the UAE was one of the first markets to drop a significant amount when the global economic crisis struck, it is still an appealing location for those seeking to make an offshore investment.
He said: "It is becoming a commercial and industrial centre for the world. It was always on the cards that it would start to recover and that things would start to pick up again."
Mr Collins explained many of the problems seen in the UAE's property sector in recent years were caused by investors not being in it for the long haul.
Liz Rowlinson, editor of Aplaceinthesun.com, recently reminded those considering making an offshore investment in overseas property not to forget about the basic principles of buying a home.
